The Eagle head mascot with the French name: "Tête Dáigle" is in excellent condition.
Signed R.Lalique and France moulded in relief around lower edge of neck.
This pre-war Lalique mascot was only ever marked in this way.
First introduced in 1928.
It is said that this mascot was much in favour with german officers and often used on their staff vehicles.

This is a very rare and hard to find car mascot of a "Wild Turkey" [ Dindon].
Signed on the base F.Bazin, one of the most important and famous French mascot artists of the 1920,s.
This mascot is dated around 1920-1925, and approximately 6 1/2"inches [165mm.] tall.
There are two different sizes of this mascot, this is the largest one.
The mascot is made of bronze and nickel plated, and beautiful mounted on a black wooden base.

Francois Victor José Bazin born October 31th. 1897 in Paris.
Hé was a student of L École des Arts Décoratifs in 1913.
Makes a lot of beautiful car mascots in his career, and won several prizes for his work.
Include 1st prize Rome 1925, Beaux-Arts class of 1928 and the national fine Arts prize 1929.
Hé is one of the most collected mascot artists of the world.

Art Deco Stylized Pelican Car Mascot by L.Artus [M.Le Verrier].
This amusing chubby bird created in pure Art Deco style was made in France around 1919-1925.
It is an extremely rare piece.
Dimenssions: 4 1/2"inch [115 mm.]high.
Absolutely first class condition, nickel plated and signed L.Artus on the base of the mascot.
Mounted on a black wooden base.

Louis Octave Maxime LE VERRRIER was born in Neuilly sur Seine on January 29, 1891.
His mother was Belgian and his father was a Parisian goldsmith and jeweler on Boulevard Malesherbes in Paris.
In 1919 he was 28 years old, he rented an artist atelier "Rue du Theatre", where he workes 12 hours a day.
After he made some terra cotta pieces of art, he carved his first sculpture, the famous PELICAN in a very Art Deco style.
This sculptur, signed L.ARTUS [Max Le Verrier,s pseudonym] , had great success and was at the foundation of his workshop created in 1919.
He made everything on his own, from the creation [ the founding, chaseling, platina] to the selling of his piececes of art.
After this success, he carved many motoring mascots, which were popular at that period.

This is a very rare and hard to find Stylised Eagle Car Mascot by Bourcart.
The Eagle represents the purest from of Art Deco styling at its very finest,
made of silvered bronze and is in absolutely first class condition.
Dated France 1925, and signed on the base by Bourcart.
Measures around 6 1/2"inch [165mm] tall and wingspan of 3 1/2'inch [90mm].

This very rare and hard to find mascot was used for the French "Beck" Automobile company.
The mascot knows as "Vertige de La Vitesse" and in the UK as The Storm, sculptured by G Poitvin.
She is Silvered Bronze is signed on the base G.Poitvin and around the base the Contenot-Lelievre foundry stamp.
The mascot depicts a terrified young girl bent forward facing the wind with her dress flowing behind her as if she trying to keep her balance as the car speeds along.
This is the original Beck company mascot.
There is also a version of this mascot made as accessory mascot in the mid 1920-1930 these are marked Finnigans London.
This Beck car company had a short life only two years fom 1920 till 1923.
So this original one is very hard to find these days.
This mascot is in excellent condition and 160 mm high, beautiful mounted on a black wooden base.

Here we have a very rare Farman Icaris Car Mascot by Colin George.
Dated around 1925.
This is the rare example with all foundry stampings from Contenot-Lelievre.
Signed : Colin George to the side of the lower drape, with two numbers on the base, 10 on the rear and number [3295] on the left side of the base.
Hé is also stampt on the front, "Finnigans London" and on the backside "Made in France".
Cast in bronze and than silver plated.
The mascot depicting the mythical figure of Icaris standing on a rock, his arms outstretched with wings attached, ready to fly.
Its design was based on a monument in Paris to the famous Brazillian flyer named Santos Dumont.
The Farman Company adopted the image because of the early associations with aircraft manufacturing.
This mascot is in excellent condition, beautiful mounted on a black marble base.

One of the most important mascots of early motoring and it became known as "The Trumpeting Angel".
This car mascot is created for the "Ballot Motor Car Company" in Paris by the famous artist Emile Edmond Peynot [1850-1932].
The car mascot, a nude holding a laurel garland blowing a trumpet, and standing over a car engine.
She stands on the original integral radiator cap and is finished in silvered bronze.
This very rare mascot with fantastic details is dated around 1922.
She is in fantastic condition.
The mascot was exhibited at the Concourse of 1922 organised by the journal L'Auto, and won the prestigious silver medal in that year.
Measures around 6"inches high, and beautiful mounted on a wooden Art Deco base.
A very rare and hard to find mascot.
The Ballot company was taken over by Hispano-Suiza in 1931 and Ballot closed its doors in 1932.

This is an magnificent and genuine early automobile mascot from "Delage" Cars.
A leaping Art Deco greyhound signed on the base by the master sculpter C.Brau. [ Casimer Brau].
The mascot was used exclusively on the French "Delage "cars in 1929.
A genuine, totally original and totally correct pre-war mascot.
This is the larger and heavier version of the two produced. size 9"inch [230mm.] long.
A superb heavy nickel plated bronze example, with fantastic details and beautiful mounted on a black wooden base.
Very hard to locate.
